The
DWI is an advanced weighing board, especially designed for high speed
analogue load cell applications.
It incorporates all transducer electronics to excite the strain gauges,
amplify, filter and convert the analogue signal of load cells to a digital
form.
The weight is output via an RS232 or RS485 serial interface. The RS485
interface may be used in multi-drop applications where each DWI has
its own unique address.
The unit has been designed for use in the demanding industrial environments
and is approved for accuracy class III applications, with up to 10,000
increments (e) according to OIML R76
Applications
• High speed, dymamic weighing
• Check weigh applications for quality and sorting control
• Multi-drop weighing applications for monitoring, and data handling
• Computer based weighing systems
Features
• Approved for 10,000divisions
• Excitation for up to 10 strain gauge load cells, 350 Ohm each
(or more)
• Single or dual interval
• Analogue and digital filtering
• RS232 or RS485 serial interface (factory installed)
• Tilt input (inhibits weighing when scale is tilted)
• 2 opto-isolated weight set points
• Stainless steel enclosure (IP65)
Operating Modes
• Weigh mode (14-114 Hz) for static/dymamic applications
• Check weigh mode (28-512Hz), where the DWI will average a preset
number of samples, after having been triggered by a an external pulse
or a weight set point
• Test mode (approx. 1,000 Hz), where the DWI will output the
A/D values in binary form
Standard Supply
Windows-based PC software for monitoring of the weight, setting and
scale calibration
