Furnaces

Furnaces are used for melting metal such as zinc and aluminium. The outer shell of the furnace is manufactured form steel while the crucible inside is manufactured from cast iron.

The inside of the outer shell is lined with refractory cement for effective insulation. Temperatures inside of the crucible can reach up to 650°C. A gas burner is used to propel a flame in the air gap between the refractory and the crucible in a swirling fashion.
